Hi brides and grooms to be!

My name is Eva Hooper and I live with my husband in Queenstown. We got married there in 2015 and I can still remember the excitement and jubilation only a wedding day provides.

Following my university degree (Masters in sports management), I worked for many years in sports marketing.  However, becoming a professional wedding celebrant has always been a dream of mine which lead me to complete training at the Celebrant School of New Zealand and achieve a Certificate in Celebrant Studies.
Since then I haven’t looked back.

I have a great passion for ceremony and it is always an honour to be a part of other couples´ special occasions. I love writing about people and especially about their personal love stories.

Being open minded and flexible, I can tailor your special day just as you wish. From simple or traditional to extravagant and anything in between!

I would describe my ceremony style as a good mix of light-heartedness, romance and personal touches with the required seriousness to stress the importance of the act of committing to one another.

My values and personal qualities

  • Love is Love – I believe in all kinds of love and say no to any form of discrimination
  • I listen to your needs
  • I am respectful
  • I am reliable
  • I am a fully trained celebrant professional in an unregulated industry

I grew up in Germany and therefore speak fluent German and have a good working knowledge of French. So, talk to me about bilingual ceremony options.

My extensive travels and experience of living in different countries have given me the ability to adapt easily to different cultures and people from all walks of life. I am happy to interweave any language or cultural aspect into your ceremony that is meaningful to you.

I am a member of the Celebrant Association New Zealand (CANZ) and Queenstown Wedding Association and I am appointed by the Registrar-General to legally perform marriages.

Please feel free to get in touch for a casual, no obligation chat.
